GB Supplies - The “Bakers Favourite”

G.B Supplies 2002 Ltd based in Barnsley, is part of a group of companies under the Viscount Butchers Products Ltd umbrella, along with Viscount in Grimsby, Woolley Glenbourne in Nottingham, Spiceblenders in Hull and R White Ingredients near Burnley.

Acquired in 2002 G.B Supplies (formally GB Bakery) was bought from the receivers with only days to spare before being dissolved and the staff being made redundant.

The staff was re-employed by Viscount and the name changed to G.B Supplies (2002) Ltd. The name remained similar in order for existing customers to recognise the name when our telesales department called.

Through hard work and a strong customer loyalty base, the business has gone from strength to strength.

Along with capital investment, a bigger investment was made an investment in our staff. We believe that the team of dedicated staff is worth every penny.

They are our future not only in terms of moving the company forward, but also in retaining our present customers. People buy from people.

As part of Viscount’s philosophy the staff are encouraged to take part in achieving Investors in People and see themselves as being acknowledged as a competent work force.

G.B Supplies Ltd underwent a transformation with some much needed, investment. New refrigerated 18 & 7.5 tonne trucks has opened up new markets enabling us to deliver large quantities of frozen foods to new and existing customers.

Along with, G.B Supplies the other depots have not been taking it easy either Viscount have had there three year Investors in People review in April and passed with flying colours.
