Woolley Glenbourne - Nottingham’s “Finest” Bakers Sundriesman

Woolley Glenbourne Ltd based in Nottingham, is part of a group of companies under the Viscount Butchers Products Ltd umbrella, along with Viscount in Grimsby, G.B Supplies in Barnsley, Spiceblenders in Hull and R White Ingredients near Burnley.

Acquired in 1999 Woolley Glenbourne was a long established business, which started trading in 1979.

Mr J A Woolley was a wholesaler selling packaging materials to butchers and bakers in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Mr Woolley travelled to America were he found foil containers to be mass produced, and sold to the food industry. On his return he teamed up with Mr Petit of peak Dale engineering Ltd and between them a foil pressing business started in the 1960’s. Mr Kirk sold then an agent for the food industry started to help sell his product. Mr Kirk was given the opportunity to purchase the business as partnership with his son David on 10th May 1979.

David ran the business for 20 years until Viscount Ltd acquired the business in 1999. David is now a director of the business and employs 2 delivery drivers one of which helps run the busy office in the absence of David and has the benefit of a sales representative.
